Michele Zaccagnini

Michele Zaccagnini is from Rome, where he studied clarinet and composition at Conservatorio di Musica S. Cecilia. He also graduated with a degree in Economics from the Università La Sapienza in Rome. He has composed music for several video-theatre projects and commercial labels, working frequently for Cinecittà Studios (Rome), Fondazione Arturo Toscanini (Bologna), and in Los Angeles, where he also studied film-scoring at UCLA. After Los Angeles he decided to commit himself fully to writing concert music. Among his teachers are the Irish composer Frank Corcoran, Martin Boykan, Eric Chasalow and Yu-Hui Chang. He moved to the United States in 2004 and is currently working toward his Ph.D at Brandeis University.
